stickyfrogs:
Yesterday we went to a fantastic frog talk by Gerry Marantelli from the Amphibian Research Centre! He is helping to save some of Australia’s most critically endangered frogs from extinction and we got to meet some of them up close for the first time.
There are only 5 Southern Corroboree Frogs currently living in the wild. Without captive breeding, reintroduction programs and establishment of insurance populations by the Wonderful People at the Amphibian Research Centre, Melbourne Zoo, Healesville Sanctuary and Taronga Zoo, the Southern Corroboree Frog would be extinct today.

Oh how I love frogs 💚
